Newbies ???
Seen a few new names and that is fantastic on such a new forum. But it seems a few have changed their name from 'the old place' <shudder>
I've worked out who a few are, but seems a shame to not know the name changes. They have a history which will be lost on 99% of us.
Not sure of the solution, but it'd be a shame if somebody I liked came on board without me knowing.
Hmm

Was over on the “old place” many moons ago but wandered.
Came here from a non-engine powered route.
Name change is to break links with certain people who won’t go away...

Maybe they've done it to avoid you 'ignore list' ?
New site = clean slate as far as I'm concerned. The content of a post should matter more than who posted it imo.

I changed my username because I have changed everything and yet nothing at all. Reflects who I am in real life better thats all. I've always taken the route of saying online what I would tell someone to their face. Keeps is nice and simple, and there are times when I say nothing at all, because that is also important. I don't need to have the last wo....

You is was macchect and I claim my soapy tenner...whatever a soapy tenner is- though with inflation I suspect a crisp £50 might just cover it.the_priest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 3:57 pm I changed my username because I have changed everything and yet nothing at all. Re: Newbies ???
Back in 2002 I bought a 636, and I’m called Mick. When we moved from the other place to the other place I realised it was way out of date but couldn’t be bothered to think up a new name.
In 2020 we moved here, still couldn’t be arsed to think of a new name.
I only kept that 636 for about 5 months as well!!!!
Mick, who once had a 636.

Re: Newbies ???
In about 2002 or so I deliberately chose a name that was both different and also wouldnt be directly traceable to the real me. I've not dicked about with it since then and oddly enough I've not had much competition for it on forums either.
Re: Newbies ???
I used to be Sweary Girl. That was in the old old place, the one with wonky tits and soapy tenners. Before the old one that had Yarbles.
Whatever happened to Squid, and his replacement whose name I can't recall, the one who posted a pic of his hot Mum?
