I went to Reading to meet the work gang as one was retiring. Due to traffic i took the XSR.
Coming home was the first time in 15 years I've ridden a motorbike in the dark! It was strange and very interesting at the same time. Not seeing gravel, trees, corners, most liberating! I actually quite enjoyed it!

It's great when you add in the rain and a road shit covered visor,so you have to lift it and peer into the murk with the rain stinging your eyeballs and bastards burning your retinas on full megawatt beam.weeksy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 8:17 pm I went to Reading to meet the work gang as one was retiring. Not selling just yet, you might change your mind when find out how much these fetch anyway.
Runs well , gearbox has more neutrals than gears but once you get used to it, its fine.
Pulls well if a little peaky but i recently changed the gearing with has improved the ride
greatly, still not a motorway bike though. Its pre mix so that's a little inconvenient.
Last one that sold on Ebay fetched £7500 and it needed restoring.

To the office for the first time for a days work since 24 March 2020.
No pictures.
What a waste of time going back to the office is. Done more filtering today than I have in the last 18 months or so.

Wow, that’s double the amount I was figuring but then it’s no surprise seeing what some of these 70s 2strokes fetch these days.kendo57 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 3:31 pmNot selling just yet, you might change your mind when find out how much these fetch anyway.

Had a nice run out this morning. I passed plenty of petrol joints with no shortages or queues, then filled up just before heading home. No panic here just yet.
The weather is to be schitt for the next week or more,so that could be my last ride for a while.

My FXR was the only one of my bikes with a full tank of fuel so that was today’s choice. A quick trip to Choppers Cafe near Marlborough before heading back via Wantage for another coffee in the market square

I’ll remember next time- love the A338 route from wantage over the downs to the A4 at Burbage
Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Took a trip to have a nose at the new cafe located at the Superbike Factory showroom next to Donnigton.
A decent cafe, that was very popular on this sunny Sunday, plenty of bikes about, mostly standard stuff but there were a few interesting examples dotted about.
Then stopped for a quick pic next to the site of the Battle of Bosworth, (I liked the big flags).

Superduke meeting at Finchingfield, Essex then ride up to Krazy Horse in Bury St Edmonds. It really felt like an end of season ride out.

Had a great ride with the Mrs. She's getting braver/better as she'd never managed to get up to these viewpoints before

Nine day round trip to Czechia 5,500km round trip. No worries about fuel on mainland EU.
Had to get back quickly yesterday, so rode from Millau to home only stopping for fuel a few times.
