And we Lidl shoppers look down on those who frequent Aldi.

I'm told by a chap with a German wife that Aldi is the upmarket of the two, and he shops in Lidl because there's no Aldi near here.
I understand the difference is more obvious in Germany.

Do all Aldis have a couple of homeless folk camping outside or just the ones in Brighton?

Isn't one of them split Europe wide? Two brothers who split it in two groups, they've each agreed to only operate in certain countries. So our Aldi (or Lidl, can't remember which) is not actually the same chain as you get in Germany.

The fucking weather. This house had bad design so rain water flowed from flat roof onto the bedroom patio.
Then the drop was straight down the basement apartment stairs.

I've bodged it to divert flow a couple of times.
But today decided to do it right.

Been and bought varying gutters and drains to make it all work :)

Took the old stuff down and offered up the new bits, to be fitted later.

Instantly it fucking rained :D

No rain since March.

Had to reinstall old stuff to stop it all going to basement where we have guests.

School communication, messages usually go along these lines.
From: Office
About: Your child
Which school, which child?
Then they insist on attaching a rambling letter in A4 PDF format to be opened in an app on a phone. I used to think they forgot how to talk to adults because they were around small children every day but we're now into sixth form and it hasn't got any better.

That's mostly because the teachers never left school and most of them haven't a clue about any world outside their own.

The Met Gala. I don't know why this particular celeb fest makes me want to gag, when there are so many to choose from, but it does.

Nauseating doesn't come close.

People who change their mind....

Last month it was the guy with the KTM690 on ebay. After I'd bought the bike he decided it was sold to cheap and cancelled the sale.

Yesterday it was a woman who said she couldn't cope with the two rescue dogs she had. I was all set to leave at lunchtime for a 8hr plus drive north to collect one of them. I'd then planned a meandering return in the campervan over a couple of days. Yesterday morning at 10am she decided she didn't want to give the dogs up.

Don't get me started! One of my brothers lost over £15k that wasn't his a few years ago 'gambling' on shares. I've recently found out he's still gambling on shares and he still owes 10's of 1000's of ££

Luckily (sort of) this is just emotional shit. I've just about learnt to deal with my mother and the way she is controlling and pissy if I don't fall into line (solved partly by being almost 1000 miles away and not visiting!!). Less easy when it's another family member treating me the same   Hey ho

I think I'm now learning after this weekend and won't put myself in that situation again!

Just had a look myself. Celebs? 90% plus I've never heard of them. :(

Two blokes in dresses. One bloke draped in his Nan's knitted bedspread. One bloke in half a suit of armour. Probably Bieber got off most lightly, top half anyway. The majority of lasses looked thoroughly displeased with what they'd been made to wear. Terrible outfit for young Radacanu - all you can say about that one was it could have been worse.

I guess that means I've stuffed that Vogue reporter's job I've applied for.

At work today I visit the ladies lavs and find the seat of the toilet up and someone hasn't pulled the chain :o I man has been in here! When exiting the toilets I notice a new sign on the door "These toilets are gender neutral". I will be sending an email to Facilities :angry-cussingblack: I don't mind gender neutral toilets, but I really don't want to see anyone elses pee. Fair?

I'd actually send an email saying you need a safe space for biological women.

Watch as HR go into a woke meltdown.

A few years back my facilities guy told me there was a serial offender in the ladies loos who kept shitting on the cubicle floor and leaving it.
In addition, there was another offender who used to unravel the loo rolls and leave them on the floor. When the suspect was fronted, she denied it, and then the unravelled loo rolls started being put down the toilet, blocking them.
Some people are odd, to say the least.
