#1 Getting my name read out on the radio, always makes me smile !
#2 Finding out that UK passport holders will be able to work in French ski resorts this year, there are conditions and paperwork to get but it's a far cry from all the scaremongering I've had to listen to for the last 5 years !

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Hello!
That leads to the interesting question of under what circumstances would you wake up dead?

If you didn't wake up, how would you know you were dead?

Seeing Saint Peter and his big book at the Pearly Gates would probably give you a hint.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 3:55 pm If you didn't wake up, how would you know you were dead?

Yesterdays hangover has completely gone. I was a little concerned that as I've got older my hangovers would last 2-3 days. But thankfully no

Bad and good news - hope it gets sorted and soon.Potter wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 2:19 pm
I thought I was dead, or would be sooner than I wanted to be, I had a cancer scare but today about an hour ago I got the news that whilst it is cancer its not a bad type and it hasn't spread, so it can be cut out quickly and I'll make a full recovery.
I'm chuffed with that result.

The fact that for the first time ever I vaguely succeeded at making Macaron. Still needs some work, but it has taken me far too many attempts to get even this far.

I keep thinking about having a go at them but for some reason I never do. The fact that it's taken you 'far too many attempts' isn't filling me with PMA to have a go!! Macaron are probably my favourite little cakey treat. Sadly finding them isn't always easy and find good ones is really hard! I've been known to go out of my way in that London to buy them.
Learning how to make them myself seems like the obvious thing to do, but I am now seeing why you can't buy them in many places

LOL I don't buy them often but there is somewhere that does a nice pistachio one!! Think I'd have to be sure I can make them well before investing in pistachios to flavour them!!
