Loki on Disney, its a time travel/paradox extravaganza and the last one paid a quick nod to my favourite conspiracy theory and the USS Eldridge.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Himalaya Calling - Overland to the highest passes in the world.
Its on Prime. Firstly, its dubbed over as the guys are German and its dubbed over in a quite annoying way at times. But if you can get past that and just like watching people riding bikes in far flung places, its worth a look.

Narration aside, if you're an armchair toruist or dream of overlanding, then you should watch it. It was actually very good and ending with the Royal Enfield festival in Goa was brilliant. These boys really do travel though, the Stans, Turkey, China Pakistan India etc. Took some risks and even got attacked by a bull elephant lol! Incredible trip!

OMG!
Faye could do with some bigger boobies and where's Ed?
But other than it looks about perfect.
I'm half tempted to get Netflix!
For those who don't know...

But that demonstrates the difference between knowledge and understanding.
Even bland can be a type of character

Preacher, a wee bit of dark humour
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5016504/
Vigil Only just started, but looks OK based on the first episode, if'n you can ignore terrible CGI and blatant technical gaffs (but hey it's a drama not a documentary) first thing I've watched on auntie beeb for many a moon.

Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
Couldn't quite get focused on it to start with because of the 'ooh, that's Endeavour, ooh that's 'you naw nuthing Jon Snurr', ooh that's him out of Neverwhere' faces and the casting is all a bit BBC box-ticking. Watched the second ep last night and despite finding some of the crew behaviour a bit it's starting to move along. The ads for it show the missile hatches opening so it could get a bitMrLongbeard wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 1:08 pm

Quite enjoying Lupin on Netflix (subs on rather than dubbed).

Enjoyed that too. Visited my Sister who had it on dubbed and whilst I don't speak the lingo, it just isn't right if they ain't speaking French!

Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
Has anyone watched The Undoing? Wife has been recommended it, but the trailer isn't exactly inspiring and it has Hugh Grant in?
I watched The Irishman today, too long and too samey as any of the other Goodfellas style films. Not actually sure why I watched it to the end? Probably as it was on whilst I was working. I think if the wife and I had sat down to watch a film and that was it, we'd have bailed on it.

That submarine series, Vigil, what a load of old shite. Like an underwater soap opera.
