2022 big day out RRTL semi-extravaganza, Silverstone?
Morning all you track monkeys.
Was thinking with Welsh Muffin on the way back from Pembrey that we really ought to do a bit of a 'tour' of tracks as well/instead of just the usual Pembrey event with Alan and Phil.
Whilst Silverstone itself doesn't have camping, it does have hotels 5 mins from circuit along with a smattering of b&b choices too
Whilst I love the Pembrey stuff, as I say, I think we/you are missing out a bit on other tracks etc, so heading to a MotoGP track first is a great idea. Whilst Silverstone doesn't have the undulations of say Donny or Cadwell, it has speed, pits, fast curves and a sense of occasion that the others can't match. It is of course more expensive, but if we all book on black Friday then it comes down to about £210 for the GP layout. We could still do the evening after track with beers, even looking into a camping option locally if people wanted that.
So, how does it sound to you lot?

Possibly but I fell off where MM just did (although a lot slower) so I don't have many happy memories of Silverstone!

If you could persuade enough people to attend you could hire somewhere like Llandow, but you'd need at least 30 people paying £100 each.
https://www.llandow.com/hiring/
It's a hell of a financial risk for the person organising it tho
It's it's still the arse end of Wales.
If your tour includes Cadwell, I might be tempted.

Silverstone is a bit of an arse to get to from here, but nowhere near the arse that Pembrey is, so I could be tempted to come along, but I've no idea what I'm doing next year.

Silverstone must surely be the least arsey to get to for the most number of people? It might be further for some people, but it is all main roads to get there? Unlike Pembrey or Cadwell for example.

Silverstone.
It's a bit far.
Can you hold it at Wombwell Go-kart track, I can walk there from my house?

There's a field in front of the house you can pitch a tent on... but the local kids play on it so you'll have to put up with the sweary little bastards.
The Kart track costs £250 a day to hire. I'm part of a club that used to organise parades on it. I took my old Fireblade round it

Silverstone is almost half the distance for me to Pembrey so that's not a huge issue at all. When abouts were you thinking dates wise weeksy
