Just had a little break away from UK...in sunny France = HOT, so not much riding but did get out for early morning rides on two occasions; pics below for a flavour:)

I might have said on another thread, I started late 50's, gotta start sometime right! Practice and time in the saddle are key, so keep going, instructors do know their stuff, think of it as an investment;)

Just watched the Portugal v Croatia game, brilliant for highlights....but were Croatia robbed (by VAR), defender heads it backwards? or are the refs too scared...should have gone to extra time IMHO.

A few years ago took the nipper to our friends in Germany, so 1st flight; then underground to city, got chips and cake in underground shops, pretty descent for nipper, all good, a few days later head out to Austria (1st time), go for ski lift and walk up and down snowy mountains (1st for nipper), on ...

So I was coming back from a local run out, passed the funeral place and when I went by a fire engine pulls out behind me, does not turn into local station but carries on and I get a pic (helmet cam:) while I turned off, you may have to squint;)

Count, yes it's Cumbria (just below that border wall bit!) So the pic is near top of Hardknott looking west, the road is OK as traffic is light, don't go in mid-summer or if you are tip-toeing on a bike!
