Re: How much does exclusivity/name/badge/marque matter to you ?

It just happens that it is also a fairly exclusive brand. If that mak...

Re: Would you buy a used MV Agusta?

My first ride on a Brutale was a 4 cyl 989r tbh I was pretty sold on them at that point. That was between owning my 04 RSVR and 1100 Monster evo.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread

Cheap electric guitars. They should be terrible but they're surprisingly ok. I assembled one, as a kit, over Christmas really to see how awful it might be and because the length of the Christmas break can be well boring ;) Yeah the electronics are at the cheap end but I was expecting real out-of-th...

Unless you are seeing the same failed component on each bike it’s somewhat irrelevant?!?
It is the same failed components and on the plus side I'm told that they know about it and will give you a new engine when it goes bang because they know it's a problem on some bikes.
Crikey!

Re: Would you buy a used MV Agusta?

Following a look into a workshop with several mashed up engines I take back what I said, I probably wouldn't buy another, unless it was the new engine (2021) - but then I said last last time I walked into a KTM workshop and found a load of bent valves and smashed pistons. Walking into any workshop ...

Re: Would you buy a used MV Agusta?

I've been slightly swayed by some of the discussions on here suggesting that you should buy a bike that moves your soul, not just you arse. I mean I always buy bikes that I think will have a bit of magic but I also consider reliability, parts availability etc. So Japanese, Triumph and even Aprilia....

Re: mattresses

Last time I asked for advice I bought a John Ryan. Now added a plywood base over the sprung slats.

Alternatively, buy one with a free trial, try it send it back, try another etc
