Re: I have never owned a motorcycle with...
This should have been a poll. Boxers would be least popular, which is odd as the R1100/1150/1200/1250 GS has to be one of the most popular selling family of bikes ever!

I have never owned a motorcycle with...
Cheesy thread alert. It occurred to me, I've had everything from 1-4 cylinders, 50-1200cc's, twin and monoshock, liquid and air cooled, RWU and USD forks, but I've never had a motorcycle with a radio/stereo or more than 4 cylinders. What haven't you had? Max points if you've never owned an IL4 or so...

Re: Yet another new bike, yet another Himalayan
On my 'slow' bike I specifically plan my route to avoid stuff like dual carriageways, my Enfield keeps up well with traffic on the roads I ride it on :) But I aint never going to go touring on the thing. I hit 120mph today on the parkway with the wife on the back, on the BRB. Everyone needs at least...

I didn't go to the Upper Derwent visitors centre to feed the ducks. So I didn't see that every single car park and verge in the whole of the peaks was full with cars. So much for lock down :) https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/155801734_3644410735594428_972235829267730046_o.jpg?_nc_cat=11...

Re: My Orange Royal Enfield- New Bike Thread
I bought a brand new R6 in 1999. Got bored running it in proper at about 200 miles. When I traded it in three years later with 27k on the clock it was doing a litre every 100 miles :) I used to strap a bottle of oil to the pillion seat if I was going further than the shops. TBF I did rape it. everyw...

Re: Gagging for a proper ride..
I washed and polished the Bus for a ride out this afternoon (I know that sounds like the wrong order, bust it was filthy after a couple of damp rides). Was just about to gear up and the wife comes out to tell me the washing machine is dead and she's going to see her mum. Then spent 2 hour fixing the...

I've just watched the XJC episode of Wheeler Dealers (on Quest).
They reckoned the 4.2l straight six was betterer.

Re: Aprilia Shiver (cheap!)?
I considered buying one a few years back. They're kind of like an SV650 on steroids. The only bad thing anyone had to say about them was the EFI/throttle was a bit choppy.
