Motorcykel = alltid den långa vägen hem! Still loving biking here in Sweden. Only problem with April here is just when you think it will be a good biking weekend, it snows again! lol

Re: Music thread, whats hot and wotnot
Should have been at Graspop metal festival in Belgium last week :( :( :( Currently cranking up Battle Beast and Beast in Black, two Finnish bands I discovered last year along with one of my favourite Swedish bands, Amaranthe. https://youtu.be/2N4tXf3Ensw https://youtu.be/P3k7r_U8b40 https://youtu.be...

Re: A right now thread
My mother unfortunately passed away on the 14th. I am currently trying to arrange things from Sweden including the trip back for her funeral. And getting massively frustrated with the idiocy of the UK and its covid response. Basically I have to self isolate on entry, a rule that they only just imple...

Re: Have you ever thought seriously about emigrating from the UK? What did you consider?
Been in Sweden 2 years and not regretted moving. But then I was clear that I couldn't bear to stay in the UK in the direction it was going and I really wanted to be in Sweden when I moved. I took just under 2 years to make the plan, travel and explore and be happy I knew what I was getting into here...

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today is a holiday here in Sweden so basically I went exploring again and did this: route.JPG Sweden has a lot of single track gravel roads so got to enjoy some interesting driving on those :D Offroad.jpg But as ever, the country and its scenery are just outstandingly beautiful. Taken at Lake Sommen...

Currently "enjoying" the joy of Intermediate Swedish - A Grammar & Workbook, not recommended unless you really want to learn swedish (or as in my case have to lol). Still, it could be worse, I could be trying to learn Finnish lol Just started 1984 again, and currently have Tom Hollands...

Worked half my hours, went out on the bike for a quick spin, 3 hours later am home and working the rest of my hours. Swedish companies are great for flex working especially when the sun is out and its a nice day. Had lunch by the lake at Vista Kulle

Sweden doesn't have stone circles like the UK, the stone formations here are longboat shaped.

Re: Show us your cars ?
Have to confess that I got a volvo XC60 when I got to Sweden. This is the car last winter just as the snow started to come in, got a total of 30cm here last year :wtf: :D It's not so bad as winter tyres are legally mandated for the winter and they do come and grit every road in Huskvarna, it's just ...

Re: How's the lockdown going for everyone ?
No lockdown in Sweden, people are still going out to restaurants and bars as if nothing is happening. ;) We currently have the worst figures in the Nordic region somewhat unsurprisingly but their aim is to avoid a second wave that is worse which they think will happen to all countries that l...

Hi from Sweden
Hej, Lynw here, some of you may remember me (or not want to lol) but been bikeless for a long while and off the forums for equally as long. A lot happened in that time, now resident in Sweden and finally back biking and loving the biking here. A country twice the size of the UK and 1/7th the populat...
