A truce term is a word or short phrase accepted within a community of children as an effective way of calling for a temporary respite or truce during a game or activity, such as tag or its variants. The above copied from Wiki but it did remind me on the reason for the the X fingers and shouts of Tig...

Not taking political sides, but tuition fees should not be free. IMHO It's not about whether they are or not, its Starmer's blatant lies in his manifesto pledge! "What about university tuition fees then? Will you remain committed to scrapping them?" Starmer "They're all pledges Andre...

Just wondering how much money is being sent to aid this catastrophe especially from all the other countries that have benefitted from help previously? I suspect none. You think Haiti should send money to Spain? If they have any excess aid funding knocking about, why not or should it be one way only?

Zrx61 is banned from this thread btw! I'm in the same boat. although... Used a screwdriver while changing rear pads on a mates ZRX12 two weeks ago, however, it was his cheapass screwdriver so not mullaring one of mine. I'd like to say a first for me......but no! Had a rifle pointed at me this morning. Out on the treader with the dog, coming down a steep-ish track, dog panting away. Came around a corner to be met with a few chasseurs who obviously heard the dog and thought 'zut alors'. Luckily they weren't trigger...

I'm trying to understand the logic in that, but failing... :? On an aircraft there are probably hundreds if not thousands of wires. You'd run out of colours! "Connect the teal wire to the teal port, not the dark turqiose one!" Not too much of an issue, we used to have 4800 pair cables at ...

Put some tape where you want the hole, it helps the drill from sliding about or use a small metal drilling bit to pierce through the glazing then use your masonry bit

The tile will shatter if you hammer through the top surface, once through the top surface the part underneath and can take a hammer, if you have an old tile/offcut give it a try, I'm guessing tiles are the same the world over.

All ceramic tiles I've ever drilled have been without the hammer action to go through the top "glazed" part then put on the hammer for the rest.

Turns out one of the other depts was in the depot last night and one of the staff had his dog with him running around all over the place. Guess who'll be trawling the CCTV tonigh...

I do wonder if the popular icons who died young would be so well remembered had they lived a longer life, maybe dragging out a half-baked career, doing shit gigs before retiring into relative obscurity. There appears to be a big market for" previously loved" ex 80s music bands doing the r...
