ISTR one the Gixxers had issues too...

Surprised you could find a kitchen sponge that is, I'm impressed. Was it one of those overpriced ones from Lakeland?

Yeah like I said, I can't work it out but we all seem to like them :D

When these first came out my reaction was "what's the point of that then?" and I seem to remember a few articles with a similar opinion. Seems Honda know the motorcycle market better than me though (funnily enough) 'cause they've ...

Re: utterly random picture thread.

Dunno if it was part of the curriculum but as above I definitely did it at school. Obviously modern schools are more concerned with British Values than they were in your day ;)

Plus it's one of those thing my Mum also points out every time she sees a Union Flag…mostly cause my Grandad did.

Nope, actually are strange looking :D

Re: utterly random picture thread.

Big one is a B17, the one at the back of the foursome is a P51 Mustang and the other two little ones are Spitfires. Not sure what the first one is.

Is it Duxford airshow this weekend?

They could be doing a flyby somewhere else, they'll often do that as a mini airshow for small events since they ...

Re: utterly random picture thread.

I first knew it from Boy Scouts and they definitely mentioned it at school - but then again more than one of my teacher's was ex Royal Navy

In this example of the M1 though, they were all upside down and quite neatly arranged. I bet they knew, they just didn't account for the mirroring ...

Re: utterly random picture thread.

I'm aware that it can be easy for the uninitiated to fly a Union Jack upside-down, but when I saw this effort at my local trading estate that had been adorned with flags, as is the fashion currently, I did have to laugh. Sorry for the poor quality photo, but I had to rush to take it.

I couldn't ...

Re: Making a 500 Triple Handle

What does that do to the engine itself? Using the engine to stiffen the frame (which is absolutely legit, loads of OEM stuff does that) of course means you're now putting more loads into the engine. Might be worried about cracking the mounting points and stuff like that if they weren't designed for ...

Merc first out the gate with this, launched today. All the German OEMs have had / are having a proper scare from China. The VW ID1 will be along next year too, a little fiesta sized thing for cheap. Think I still like the BMW Neue Klasse the best though.

And now BMW have shown their response ...

Re: 48 Years Evolution

But regarding the OP.

I have a bike from 1969 (15 years old than me) which I really like riding - but, I never fucking get to ride it, because it never bloody works. It's also objectively terrible. Also a slight issue in that I can't actually start it at the moment, due to a bad back :lol ...

The best looking bikes existed in the period 1997-2003 when I was an impressionable young rider, not the mid 80's when you lot were impressionable young riders.

Obvious really.
