Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little

Idiot on a scooter…

He was riding in front of me at 30mph in a 40 zone, so I indicated and started to overtake him. As soon as he saw me doing this, he started to weave from kerb to centre line to block me from doing so.

It was a wide lane road with plenty of room for me to pass without crossing ...

Re: What have you done today thread?

I'm intrigued by the type of fibreglass you're using. It really does almost disappear/become transparent. Is it some special stuff like satin weave or summink?

Where are you going for the maiden voyage?

It is 160g sqm twill woven fibreglass fabric which is a million miles away from the ...

It's hard to tell there's any fibreglass involved!

That's v cool.

Thanks, the owner of the business and his staff have all complimented the build and the finish I've achieved. It hasn't been easy but I've enjoyed every step but I'm annoyed at the bubbles (I'll take some pictures ...

Re: What have you done today thread?

Day four - got to the workshop this morning to find the hull plywood had gassed (created bubbles in the finished fibreglass from air taped in the plywood released as a result of outer veneer softening slightly from resin and heat) so I've got around a dozen bubbles to sand out and patch before ...

Re: What have you done today thread?

What colour are you going to paint it?

I'm tempted to paint it black below the lower chine, flame red between there and the next chine with a white accent line, in line with the 5JJ R1 colour scheme and varnish the deck which is a combination of sapele and okoume.

The alternative is varnish ...

I’ve not read all of the replies but if you are currently a higher rate tax payer, stop working and don’t start again until 6/4/27, you’ll be able to reclaim overpaid tax as mentioned above, tax is collected pro-data each month via PAYE assuming you’ll have the same / similar income each month ...
