Idiot on a scooter…
He was riding in front of me at 30mph in a 40 zone, so I indicated and started to overtake him. As soon as he saw me doing this, he started to weave from kerb to centre line to block me from doing so.

Where are you going for the maiden voyage?
It is 160g sqm twill woven fibreglass fabric which is a million miles away from the ...

It's hard to tell there's any fibreglass involved!
That's v cool.
Thanks, the owner of the business and his staff have all complimented the build and the finish I've achieved. It hasn't been easy but I've enjoyed every step but I'm annoyed at the bubbles (I'll take some pictures ...

Re: What have you done today thread?
Day four - got to the workshop this morning to find the hull plywood had gassed (created bubbles in the finished fibreglass from air taped in the plywood released as a result of outer veneer softening slightly from resin and heat) so I've got around a dozen bubbles to sand out and patch before ...

The alternative is varnish ...

Deck stitched
First stage of glueing, thin bead of thickened epoxy in each of the joints before temporarily joining the hull and deck together with tape.

Re: Job stuff and taxation things.
I’ve not read all of the replies but if you are currently a higher rate tax payer, stop working and don’t start again until 6/4/27, you’ll be able to reclaim overpaid tax as mentioned above, tax is collected pro-data each month via PAYE assuming you’ll have the same / similar income each month ...

Just finished shifting two cubic yards of hardwood logs for winter fuel. Log store is pretty much full to the brim.
Now about to commence the mammoth task of ironing work shirts, t shirts, chinos, jeans and, if I can be arsed, two lots of super king sized bedding.
