Re: Buy a r1100gs that has been under a cover in the road for 4 years
I'd buy a different bike, I don't know if I'd want it if it was free, it sounds like a money pit.

Yes, we used to do random testing and for cause, if there was an accident of some description. The union guys were all for it and the company spent a fortune on training programs and test equipment. We were making compounds that in their intermediate stages would wipe out a small town. We also had ...

Re: Magnum Force: Harris GSX1100 Katana “Goldie”
I understood that the Harris frame greatly improved the handling of early Suzooks, but could never get past the looks. This takes that 'not get' to completely new levels of 'why don't you just fuck off', though. Ridden both, it isn't a huge improvement over the big Suzuki, it is a big improvement o...

around anyhow. I've still no idea why the 690 wasn't more popular, it's a bloody awesome bike. Chocolate camshafts, failing bottom ends, smashy rockers I dunno. I know very little about the 690 but I feel like there's always something on the verge of a massive issue / disputed warranty claim with K...

In the UK you can get fired from your job for testing positive for having used the stuff in the last few days. Markers hang around in the body for much longer than just when the person is under the influence. Yes, we used to do random testing and for cause, if there was an accident of some descript...

Re: Forever Single: A first look at the 2025 Suzuki DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM
Just a thought - has anyone actually weighed a fully fuelled 'original' DRZ? Manufacturers were known to play fast and loose with quoted weights back in the day... Riding one back to back with a Husky 610, the Husky felt lighter, but the old DRZ carried it's weight high, it felt like the weight was...

It looks a lot like the one from my GSX-S 750, so I think it's Suzuki, I can't remember what the brake lever looked like on my GSXR750K2, but I sold that bike 20 years ago

I was having a cup of coffee on Lowestoft prom one Friday morning in the summer, a girl was smoking a joint, it bloody stank, feck knows how strong it was, a lot stronger than anything that was available in Suffolk in the late 80s. As people have said, you smell it a lot going through traffic, I sup...

Having done 160 mph on an unfaired bike it isn't much different to 160 on a 1998 R1, you have to get flat on the tank on either bike, a 1985 GSXR750 is better than either at speed, you just duck down a little to get out of the wind.
