Re: How Fast Would You Dare Go?
In the early 90s I hired a DR125 in Crete and rode around in shorts and t shirt, no crash helmet, probably went 60mph max, got sun burnt to a crisp, now I wouldn't ride a motorcycle without full protective gear and a crash helmet, so the fastest I'd ride without a helmet is a slow walking pace ...

Re: How much do you spend on a motorcycle exhaust?
Had a Black Widow copy of the YEC front pipes on my FZR400R, they worked very, very well and lasted the 30 or so trackdays I did on it.
Got a Black Widow link pipe and can on my CB1000R, its quieter and works better than the standard can and has lasted 16000 miles with no problems.

I've realised that the blue makes me look a lot like a French tosser.

I've got a Furygan Atom vented jacket, it fits well and isn't hot to wear, I have my doubts about it's crash protection

98 onwards ZX6R, a mate of mine lapped everyone in the fast group twice in one at Cadwell on a Classic Bike Track day a few years ago when I had my FZR400R, but his might be worth more than £1500.

Re: Surviving the heat
To properly survive very hot weather riding and be a tiny bit safe: mesh jacket and trousers, boots and gloves with lots of holes, an open face helmet with lots of vents (I use an Arai SZ-R). When I go out with the local chaps we leave early and are home by midday. Once home, if you haven't got a ...
