The V40 is an upmarket Ford Focus/Mazda 3, the 5 cylinder diesel is the pick of the diesels in terms of reliability.
The early models were basically ford engines before changing to the VEA motors in 2016 has Kungfoobob mentioned.
Generally well built and command a bit of a premium over the Focus but ...

Yet to own a real 4x4 with diff locks and low range can imagine it would be great fun.

Names Steve, currently own a Bonneville T120 a Moto Guzzi V7 Stone and a gas guzzling Volvo XC60 T6 Japanese import.

Imports are registered has PLG if they have no recorded CO2 figure on the type approval certificate.
The T6 Volvo I had imported is currently £345 per year had it been an official UK car it would be £735 I believe.
