Arai RX 7V Evo pinlock be race visor

Post by formula400 »

Like above, this afternoon I am off to collect my new lid, (tried it after the Shoei fit, and feels better)

So for the visor I’ve found I have 2 options

Semi tint with a pinlock or this bad boy

My logic is that a rain race visor is better than the normal visor with a ( pinlock they are good but not perfect)

So the a3 in the pissing rain can’t that different from a wet race circuit 😂😂😂

I don't ride in the rain (intentionally) or at night, but if I did I'd be wary of visor inserts of any description. There's a noticeable loss in optical quality with inserts and while this is acceptable for me in good conditions, the way they accentuate glare at night and bad weather,is not.

When I commuted,I preferred to remove the pinlock for night riding and just crack the visor open to prevent misting.

I've not used the Bob Heath insert,so I can't say if those problems still exist.

I’ve used the pinlock inserts for years, no issues with sight, just some times they seem to lose their seal and fog on the edges, not sure if that’s wear and getting old.

Block in the shops recons the new pinlock that comes in the box is better.
