Repsol ending sponsorship with HRC

Post by KungFooBob »

Crash.net on Friendfaceface are saying the Repsol sponsorship will end this season.

Proper end of an era stuff, my formative bike sport years were spent watching Doohan on a Repsol bike

About half the petrol stations here are Repsol
The Suzuki runs shit on it.

But I buy it for the dirt bikes, coz it's blue and can see the level better through plastic fuel tank.

In GPs Repsol have been synonymous with Honda for yonks. There have been some proper iconic paint schemes in that time. Probably one of the most recognisable after ciggy colours were killed off.

The media reckon that Honda are about to announce the replacement sponsor... Castrol.

The old 90's WSBK Castrol paintjobs were great.

S'funny, over here most petrol stations are Repsol and dripping with huge pics of the MotoGP lads.
But my GSXR1000 runs shite on Repsol.
But I use it in the dirt bikes as it's dyed blue, so can see the fuel level in the plastic petrol tanks.

And I know Castrol have a great history and reputation, but I've never bought any oils for any bikes I've owned.

Wonder if Zarco's bike will still be Castrol liveried?

I guess if Castrol are sponsoring the official HRC team, then LCR might be looking for a new sponsor.
