2025 CBX1000 the return of a legend...
Rumours abound that Honda has patented a new CBX1000, the CBX1000RR. As much as I'd love to hear and see a modern one, I really cant imagine it'd be viable in todays market?

In the sports market, weight is everything.

Looks like another Kardesign mock-up.
Everything about that pic screams Photoshop or AI (or both).

Have you actually listened to the nonsense they're spouting? Front fork will be a 'Double inside-down shock breaker'

BTW OEMs patenting stuff means basically FA.
I work for an OEM and I patent shit all the time. We even score ourselves against other OEMs on how many things we've all patented. There's a department for it.
Has almost no relationship to what we plan to sell.

That's being a bit rude to Kardesign!!
If that goes into production I'll buy one and ride it down the Mall in swimming trunks.

Surely not a six pot?
Think of the R&D spend, they'd never make the money back before we are all on leccy bikes.

And air-cooled motors have been effectively legislated off the road. It's a complete non-starter.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 7:33 pm Surely not a six pot?

I know two people who had them in the 80s, both of them managed to bend con rods by attempting to start them after they'd been parked on the side stand overnight, both of them also say they'd have another one !!Yorick wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 7:24 pmWhen they came out, they blew the world apart.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 6:03 pm I don't want an original one, they're a bit shit, they weren't even the best Honda of that era.

I looked at buying one in 1986, it was £1400, but at 19 the insurance was going to be crippling.

Bikes which don't start are great for emissions.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 7:42 pmAnd air-cooled motors have been effectively legislated off the road. It's a complete non-starter.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 7:33 pm Surely not a six pot?
