Every ride should end with a smile:
Help us make helmet safety better
Please can you help us by taking part in some important research?
The Safety Helmet Assessment and Rating Programme (SHARP) has been running for many years. The legislation on motorcycle helmet testing and approvals changed this year, at long last, raising the safety standards for motorcycle helmets. So this is the ideal moment to take stock of what SHARP has achieved, and ensure that the scheme stays relevant for all riders. Knowing what and why people ride, and how, why and where they buy a helmet is essential information. This research will lead to improvements to the information that you use to help select a helmet, and ultimately help with SHARP’s aim to reduce the number of head injuries sustained by riders in collisions.
We invite you to fill in the survey at this link.

It takes only 15 minutes, and there is a chance to win one of three £50 vouchers to spend on bike gear into the bargain.
When you’ve done it, please forward the link on to anyone you know who rides; friends and family, colleagues and classmates, others you ride out with:we want to hear the views of a wide representation of riders. The more questionnaires are completed, the better SHARP will serve the needs of rider in the future.
Bikers have a tremendous community spirit and look out for one another’s safety. Encouraging others to do this questionnaire is a simple good deed.
Got time right now?

The survey will be open until 25th August.
Thank you for your time to read this and thank you in advance for your generosity in supporting SHARP by completing the questionnaire and sharing the link to it. We hope you enjoy answering the questions.
The SHARP team
P.S. The questionnaire is only open to UK residents, but we know how important the SHARP scheme is to other riders around the world. They will all benefit because your answers will help keep our helmet safety scheme relevant and helpful.
