Back in May I was tempted to buy the Falco of a fellow Ridersite forum member. He'd had health and divorce issues and the bike had been 'imprisoned' in his ex's garage since 2017. He now had custody of the bike, but wanted to sell it. So I bought it.
I had ideas of converting it to a track day bike, but these days I don't do track days, so it was basically an impulse purchase. And now common sense has reared its ugly head, I need to move it on.
It's a black X-reg (2000) Falco with silver frame and has 32k on the clock. The good points are:
Lightweight Oz racing forged aluminium wheels (as fitted to Factory models) - these are worth £700 all day long
Ohlins rear shock with hydraulic preload adjusters
Showa forks with Ohlins internals
Renegade racing high level exhausts (loud) and custom pillion footrests
Renegade racing airbox (also contributes to loud)
Modified Mille front header (similar to redratbike's mod)
Renegade chip
Mille oil tank (needed to work with Mille header)
Galfer wavy discs
4 pot 4 pad 'Factory' front Brembo calipers
Gen 1 Mille 'banana' swingarm
There is more, but you get the picture. When I get back from France I'll start cleaning it up and sorting through what needs doing and will post some photos up. The front brake is spongey, so that needs attention, but the bike was a runner and well maintained prior to its enforced incarceration.
If anyone's interested I simply want back what I paid for it (£1500). It would be worth a fair bit more broken for parts but I simply CBA, and it's really too good for that.
Or swap for a suitable 'pointy' SV650...
