Opinion of the Hive Mind requested.....
With no intent of cutting a long story short....I wanted to contribute to the chaos of World Election year....I requested a postal vote .
I saw after that I would not be working and hence able to vote in person at our local Temple of Democracy....only I couldnt as the voting pack went on the fire pit. A few days later I picked up the poll card and noticed "If you have a postal vote, you cannot vote in person.
Shit....it's gone!"
But youcan get a replacement. Like now. Before 4p.m.
So of course, I pop i on the way back from work.....for North Somerset Council.
I park on the pavement (I am on the LE Velocette). 8 minutes later I emerge with a new postal vote.
Sitting, vaguely attached on my saddle was a yellow envelope. An unsealed envelope with a pcn in it....£70 bloody quid! About three quid more than I just earned today...to the same bloody council I was working for in an allied branch...
I always thought bikes stopped on the pavement in a town was fine if it is out of the way......am I wrong?

A parking fine is a parking fine, regardless of the reason for parking illegally.
It could be worse, you could have been riding an LE... oh.

Isn’t walking bad enough without the pavement being covered in noddy bikes!
