Really ugly vehicles! VW ID Buzz
This has to be one seriously fugly vehicle. I mean, I hold my hands up and admit that there are a lot of fugly bikes that I think are quite lovely. But this van thing -
There are a few around here. A mate has a van version as a work truck, another friend has a minibus type version as a vamily car and I've seen a few others around the area.
Ok, the work van is a vile colour of lime/sick green but the others are normal colours - yet they are still worse than fugly!!
Maybe one of you lot will think it's ok! Or tell me why it's designed to look like someone hit it with a really big mallet

First electric vehicle I've actually wanted.

I like it and I nearly got the Kia EV9 a couple of months back. Absolutely brilliant car.
My new one arrives soon. I hope.

I think they look fantastic, and that's as a former owner of a
Type 2.
See a load around, especially in London and mainly the commercial ones. Always make me smile.

They're really expensive on paper, but with the current crazy 2nd hand prices they're now from £38k with low miles. No way I'd be paying 75 for a new one! There are ex-demos with 100 miles for 58 even.

As for the EV9, looks like a box, but bloody fantastic place to be and to drive. The demo I drove for a few days was £85k mind you. £85k for a Kia!!

Well damn! I'm impressed, or something. Thought I was the one with the weirdest taste in vehicules!!
They make me laugh cos I always thing they look like a kids toy or that they've already hit the back of something

Re: Really ugly vehicles! VW ID Buzz
It's always divisive when they try to recreate a classic old design (Beetle, Mini, S-type, Fiat 500, Land Rover etc), not least because they end up being twice the size for a start.
But I think given the brief they did an excellent job. I thought it looked great in the photos, and I was pleased when I finally saw one in the flesh that it was just as cool and funky.
I'd happily have one... if only I had any reason whatsoever!

Re: Really ugly vehicles! VW ID Buzz
I'm surprised at that. I'd seen some van configuration ones s/h at reasonable prices but the others seem to plummet in price once they've left the dealers. I know there's the VAT thing but even so. The s/h prices are around what I think the new ones are actually worth. Just need a LWB one in camper configuration at the right price/mileage...Slenver wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2024 7:19 am I think they look fantastic, and that's as a former owner of a

Re: Really ugly vehicles! VW ID Buzz
Fair point I guess. For me, I can't think of a single 'recreated' model that I've actually liked. I mean, I do like the Fiat 500, but that looks NOTHING like the original, so I can't even connect the two!!Slenver wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2024 9:27 amIt's always divisive when they try to recreate a classic old design (Beetle, Mini, S-type, Fiat 500, Land Rover etc), not least because they end up being twice the size for a start.
