I like it but I don't think it's a nice as the original, mainly the tail piece.

^^^ As above ^^^

I prefer the original, either in blue or red & black.
If I were to change the look of the TRX I would keep the tail unit & do something with the front fairing that included twin round headlights.

All he's done is change the seat and painted it.

I prefer the original.

A set of decent modern calipers would be a sensible addition.

The bike is tidy enough, but paintjob preferences aside, the original TRX visuals are difficult to improve.

It must be the only TRX in existence that doesn't have blue spots.

Original looked better.

Sounds more like a disease than a hobby! I know folk with similar addictions to one model of bike. One has a large shed full of Honda step-thrus,another with a dozen Honda CBX 6s in various stages of disrepair and several with container loads of Kawasaki triples.

It'll never be sorted in their lifetime.

Haven't seen one of these for years, really like them (the original). Will put it on the ever growing list of bikes to buy at some point.

I currently have 2 TRX850s, but only 1 has blue spots, the other one has gold spots!

I was overtaken by a TRX850 just the other day...First time I'd donkeys I've seen one.

Loads of bikes have the 270° parallel twin thing now, so the TRX didn't sound as weird as it used to.

The TRX was made to compete against the air cooled Ducati's.

The oil tank was positioned in such a away that at a glance the motor looked like a v-twin. Apparently.

Maybe if you squint a bit,

The TRX was one of those bikes that I 'nearly' owned. It ticked all the right boxes, but somehow I never bought one. Same with the TDM850, which I tokk for a lap of the TT course at Superbike mag's bidding. Very capable, but didn't light the fire in me.

I've had a couple of Trx's.
Perfect bike for me at that time of life. The only downside was the seat. An hour's riding was about the limit,ay more than that and I would dose myself up on Ibuprofen.
I can only imagine that that ∆ seat would be worse.

And you have dark glasses and a Labrador.

I suppose the R7 is the modern TRX?
