If that engine is anything like it's older brother, it will make you laugh like an absolute, (and slightly scared ) idiot when you wind it open.

Bit of update.

Running in still but the engine, wow, showing hints of "My God its full of stars". Throttle is light and very smooth with no snatchiness off a closed throttle. I love the chirrups from the supercharger. Rain mode is excellent, cuts the power by a half and really softens the delivery.

Handling is fine for me, not fiddled with anything but seems to be coping with the Sussex roads and their patchy surfaces. I will confess that I'm not the best/most confident cornerer but it tolerates my ham-fisted attempts at 50pencing around roundabouts and bends.

Front Brakes are amazingly strong with good modulation, I'm hoping the back brake is still bedding in as its rubbish at the moment, very little power but the disc still looks very new.

Comfort is spot on (though I did opt for comfort seat as on the test ride my bottom wasn't overly impressed after an hour).

Ergonomics for a 5ft 7, 11st creaky 50 year old are very good, pegs and bar position faultless, the mini screen seems to do a good job up to triple digits (kph obvs.....). Heated grips are very powerful, 100% is far too hot at present, the settings are a bit fiddly, if you try and hurry through the heat levels they tend to turn off.

Dash is informative and well laid out, though the menu system for setup and fiddling requires a bit of getting used to (the usual MMI/GUI designed by different people, a bit like trying to get used to the control layout for different computer games). Selecting different views on the dash for lean angle, odo, battery volts, etc just takes a little while to get used to what bar button to press. Cruise control is good but the controls are not in an intuitive position for me and a bit of a thumb stretch if I'm being pinickity. TBH they could do with being lit at night so I can see what I'm pressing (this is a very, very minor gripe).

Anti wheelie and traction control work very smoothly. Not had to test the ABS yet.

I'm very happy with it, can't wait for running in to be finished.

So yesterday a Trumpet 765 wanted a race on a bit of straight dual carriageway...............I let him power off as I turned off for work, then on the way home a bloody mini wanted a race between the roundabouts on sone more straight dual carriageway. I let him have the first section but the next bit I ahem wound it on a bit (defo think hp is limited in the first three gears) as I hit 4th the anti wheelie had to work hard compared to the prior two up shifts. I left my tummy behind it was accelerating so hard and its still not full throttle.

The engine..... Oh the chirrup from the SC makes you smile as know your on something special. Now the exhaust is decorked up shifts from first to second after its been idling in traffic you get a nice pop. The auto blipper on hard/high rev down shifts is glorious, all bikes should have one.

It makes me smile every time I ride it.

It's a very addictive bike. I'll maybe have one someday!

Well its disgraced itself sitting in the shed. Fired her up today, running the engine till hot, the phone rang and its the tracking people asking if its all OK, I check the app and it says the ignitions off! Then I notice the indicators aren't working. So tomorrow's job is getting to the fuse box and checking all the connectors, I suspect I've washed something to death.
