Lovely day for a ride
Lovely day for a ride
Just got my bike out for the first ride of the year. Been on a trickle charger so started first time. Pumped up the tyres, did a couple of little jobs on it, dug out leathers, helmet, gloves.
Went to tax it (I sorned it end of last summer) and realised the MOT expired. So can’t even tax it. And it’s a bank holiday.

Re: Lovely day for a ride
My first MOT was due in November, I remembered I needed one in February. Obviously I never ventured out on the road in the interval, no siree. I'm a law abiding pensioner.

Not the first ride of the year but yesterday before going out I thought I'd prune the unruly shoots at the top of the pear tree with the telescopic loppers...
They were a bit stiff as I tried to extend them, my hand slid up into the jaws and because I was standing on the pull cord the closed slicing through the web between thumb and fore finger.
I guess I won't be riding my bike until the stitches heal
