Glue Needed.

Post by Yorick »

On the freezer door, the rubber seal has come away at the bottom. About 9".
Causing a slight leak.

Just wondering what sort of glue to use.
Ideally without defrosting the fridge, so the door would have to be closed instantly.
What glue works instantly and doesn't mind very cold temperatures?

Ta :)

I'd try super glue first, just make sure the surfaces are dry.

My go-to glue/filler is CT1 - don't know if it's available in the coal mine. It's a hybrid polymer, so others of the same type should do the job. They reckon it even works underwater, though I've never tried that...

Most glues which cure rather than dry would work underwater TBF, thinking about it. So silicones, epoxies, cyanoacrylates (super glue), polyurethanes...loads.

It'd be the cold which would stop it I reckon, not so much the wet. Don't start with Araldite :D

Try 3M VHB double sided tape, if you can get it.

The double sided tape or a contact adhesive would be my choices.
