Car Sausage

Post by KungFooBob »

Is it just me who can't watch an episode without getting a bit of grit in their eye?

I think I'd rather just see more of the car restorations at this point, rather than the hammy subterfuge and handover.

This is why I can watch Savage Hunters: The Restorers but I can't stand The Repair Shop.

I honestly don't give a shit about your family back story or how much you love the item, which is 90% of the programme. Just show me the stuff!

Yup. They can take Drew Pritchard out of The Repair Shop too. Just show me how stuff is done.

(I did think about inventing a tear-jerking back story to see if I could get a clock restored for nowt on the Repair Shop. :D ).

TBF they could bin off everyone except the wood guy ("French Polisher Alex"...I mean, surely he does other stuff), the upholstery guy, the leather guy and the blacksmith guy and I'd still watch it :P

You don't get much time for other stuff as a French Polisher. (It's quite a specific trade. One of my colleagues had a bit of a melt down, chucked his well paid job, sold the Porsche and retrained as a French Polisher. It's quite a meditative process and he's the happiest, most relaxed he's ever been  ).

Is that a 'Hunger Games gets middle aged' spin-off?
Even bland can be a type of character

I find it odd that the main criteria to getting yourself a show like this is wearing a silly hat and/or require 2 hours of beard prep every day.
We used to get that Goblin Motors show, now we get Motor Shed Squad, fucking dire doesn't even come close to describing both shows.
