Big cake! Possibly a Fifteens?*

Post by Count Steer »

It's young Bigjawa's birthday! :banana-dance:

🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 :obscene-drinkingcheers:

* A Norn Iron tradition apparently. 'Fifteens is a traditional Northern Irish cake consisting of digestive cookies, coconut, marshmallows, and cherries". Yum and who knew? :D

Thanks lads, MrsJawa got me a cake with a yellow reduced to clear sticker, So I may well wander to the Spar for some fifteens.

I used to make them when I was a kid, they're bloody lush. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Fifteen of each ingredient.

15 Digestive biscuits
15 marshmallows
15 glace cherries

Apart from that you need a splash of condensed milk and some dessicated coconut to coat them.

I suppose you could use a different number, but they've always been called fifteens.
