Not really, the picture comes from Facebook Butchered Classics page, I don't know if it's CB1100R chassis, or CB750/900 with 1100R bodywork, engine is most probably 1200 Bandit

I still think Suzuki missed a trick by not officially importing the GSX1200SS, or by offering a modern equivalent to compete with the Z900RS.

Suzuki and Honda don't really go in for the retro / Xth anniversary stuff in the way that Yamaha & Kawasaki do. Shame in a way.

Why do that?

Badly fitting seat unit to fuel tank (crap shut lines), and bad seat. The same could have been done with the original engine and would look so much better (bodywork fitting).

If you're going to do this sort of thing, make sure the fit and finish look factory, otherwise it looks half finished/wank.

From what I remember of the 1200 Bandit the engine was like no other. It would breeze up to 90 mph in top very quickly but if you wanted to get into the power band you then had to change down at least two gears. If you find Honda's engines a bit characterless there might be enough reason to put an old Suzuki engine to good use.

Nope, the B12 didn't have a power band, its all over by 8.5k. You can put 1052 GSXR cams in them, but the ECU won't let it rev high enough to notice the difference. I have a B12 engine in my GSXR11 and its 114bhp at the wheel but it's making 100bhp at 6k.

People like putting 1127 gsxr engines into things because the cam make an easy 135bhp but they're near impossible to get now.

The reason for putting the Bandit engine in is usually because the Honda engine has shat itself and is too expensive to rebuild.

He has a habit of dropping big Suzuki motors into different chassis's
