Re: Sora - AI Video Generatiion
I caught a small part of a discussion on AI. Can't remember the precise terms used but essentially it was "AI is no longer a subject of human technology. Humans are the subject"
Struck me as a bit weird.
AI is working us out.

Or that's just someone's fantasy they want to convince others is real.

Re: Sora - AI Video Generatiion
It's a slightly sensationalist way of putting it but it's right in the sense that AI uses our outputs as inputs. There will come a time when the inputs include significant material generated by other AIs* which is a bit
None of it is original 'thought' though, but then again, how much of what hoomans generate on-line is?
* At the moment I think some people claim AI can distinguish between AI generated output (in academic scenarios) and human productions. Dunno how long that will be true, even if it is now.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one.

Re: Sora - AI Video Generatiion
When I was trying ChatGPT to see if it was any use I noticed it had a limited set of answers to a specialist subject and would roll out those same answers in different ways, it also made the same mistakes repeatedly. I suspect anyone marking digitised exams can use machine learning to spot those patterns pretty easily, they can probably even identify which text books were used.Count Steer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 7:30 amIt's a slightly sensationalist way of putting it but it's right in the sense that AI uses our outputs as inputs.
