It could do without the brake ducts, other than that I like it, just needs a bit more pink.

Don't like the brake/wheel covers. Needs more anodised bolts for that 90s feel. Also love how they have tarted up the fork legs and brackets but used scabby bolts to holt the mudguard on, proper Gixxer style

It looks a lot wank, and I've never known 7/11s to work that well, in theory you should get the power of the 1100 and the handling of the 750, reality tends to be an I'll handling pig that wants to go in a straight line regardless of rider input.

I'm glad someone else has said that. If an 1100 doesn't handle well, just stick the motor in a chassis designed for a smaller engine and it will magically be all kinds of better.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 8:57 pm It looks a lot wank, and I've never known 7/11s to work that well, in theory you should get the power of the 1100 and the handling of the 750, reality tends to be an I'll handling pig that wants to go in a straight line regardless of rider input.
Or not, as the case may be.

I'm surprising myself here by saying lose the stupid brake ducts and shellsuit paint job and put it in a solid colour, preferably black, and it'd probably look pretty good for a sportsbike. Bonus marks for riding it properly and with no urban camo gear!

Sorting the 1100's suspension properly is better than building a 7/11.

My 1100 rides alright I reckon, tho I've never taken it on track.
What does the 750 chassis get you, a shorter swingarm and clipons below the yokes, is the geometry much different?

Re: GIXXER JOHNNY: ICON’S OUTRAGEOUS SUZUKI GSX-R 7/11
Good question, the early 1100s and 750s don't ride that differently, the 1100 just feels like a big 750, when they moved to the Slingshots the 1100s felt really different to the 750s, the 750 felt like it wanted to round corners, the 1100 felt like it wanted to go in straight line, I suspect a shorter swing arm and shorter forks would sort it out.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 11:09 am My 1100 rides alright I reckon, tho I've never taken it on track.
