I'll take the BMW, thanks. You can keep the cheap ones.

I like the details on the Beemer, how the rear hub bolts to the frame and the exposed shaft.

It's interesting how much of that first one is still, essentially, the same in ones you can buy today. I follow motos-of-war on IG and it's amazing how many manufacturers followed the flat twin/shaft route...and how few do now. Even BMW tried to kill it off. Surprised they didn't try a flat four (apart from the IL four on it's side).

That reminds me, I need to give the scrap man a bell to get some stuff picked up and save me a trip to the skip.

I'll take the v-twin 2T Kawasaki, thanks. Just paint the swingarm black, there's a good chap.

It's not a V-Twin, it's a tandem twin, like a 250 Rotax (or half an RG500)

Quite right - I'd forgotten.

I'll still take it. (As long as the swingarm is painted black, obvs.)

Some of the prices this year have been beyond ludicrous. $52k for a 72 H2 with the tank decals put on the wrong way by an 'expert' during restoration.

Daft rich men in pissing contests.

Mecum finally got busted for their shady bullshit. Guy paid $70k+ for a '74 Kawasaki Z2.. then they discover the frame numbers had been removed with a grinder.
Claim is the frame was powder coated, #'s weren't visible & the clueless twat that owned it tried to remove the powder coat. He's basically destroyed any value the bike had & might as well part it out now.
and the high selling price was likely the work of Mecums shill bidders in the crowd or bidding by phone.

(Edit: Sold for $93,500)
