TZR250 3MA with RD500 engine (TZR 500 V4)

Post by mangocrazy »

Saw this on the RD LC Crazy forum and was seriously impressed with the quality of the build and the way it looks 'factory'. The builder is a Vietnamese guy named Lat Hai Chín Chín (LAT299). He's on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lat299_/

I can only add 3 images per post (not sure why this is?) so will continue in other posts.

It's nice, but I would have used an RG500 engine (if one was available)

It's v smart but that exhaust looks rather like he's had an unfortunate encounter with a (now ex) badger. :D

It's very clever and very smart. But not an improvement on the original, IMHO.

But it's now got twice the capacity it had previously (although not twice the horsepower, unless it's had some radical tuning). I thought cubes were king in your view?

Maybe. But was the frame designed for nearly double the power?

I'd like to see it with the fairing lowers. Maybe they're a £700 option! :D

Not always. Many makers used trellis frames for many years .

Didn't some other markets get aluminium framed RD500s, or did I dream it?

I think you're right. Was it the JDM ones, same shape, but ali rather than steel.
