I use a local bearing place, but online I don't think you can go too far wrong with Wemoto.

Look at the wemoto website but there is no mention of the brand that is supplied, apart from slingyglide bearings.

I use these guys for the machines I work on, half the price of the John Deere dealers and the likes, they do motorcycle bearings as well, in the past I used wemoto a fair bit.

On the internet i also use Bearingboys and Simply bearings. I also look for old stock bearings off E Bay
which are branded quality but cheaper.

There are no local bearing places near me any more.

Don't think the company that had the vd discount exist anymore.

Bearing Boys, Bearing Traders and Simply Bearings.

Used 'em all at work and I've always received 'real' bearings so far as I can work out. I'm not entirely sure how you'd verify they're not fakes! Faking these things is as big a business as faking Rolexes

"Real" applications for me all come straight from SKF or whatever.

This thread got me nostalgic. I worked one Easter holiday delivering bearings around Yorkshire for Bearing Services Ltd in Bradford (first driving I'd done since passing my test was a driving job :D ). So I looked to see if they were still going. Sadly not but they lasted quite a long time and had a decent network across the north of England and supplied run-of-the-mill and big, exotic industrial stuff. I imagine you'll still find outfits like that in industrial areas.

Not much use to the OP though. :(

Well after obsessing far too much, remember the VD code from BSL Brammer, that became brammer, then Brammer Buck and Hickman and now Rubix.

That was a waste of time and why I obsesing to try and remember and could not go to sleep till I knew.

Koyo Bearings Europe are based in Dodworth, Barnsley. Dunno if they do direct sales, but they should be able to provide you with details of trusted suppliers. 01226 209000

They fake NGK spark plugs?

Believe it is more down to rebranding of cheap inferior bearings.

That is a concern, especially with wheel bearings on a motorbike.

SKF even have an app to help identify real and fake bearings.

In the end,the bke owners went on ebay to buy bearing  skf and fag bearings from DSF bearings. Lets see what arrives.

SKF and Schafeur have both confirmed that the items are genuine FAG and SKF bearings. Even though the SF bearings came in sealed plastic bags with bearing number and made in Italy.

Now do I add a little more grease or not.

Considering they seem to last 10 years on motorbikes, i wouldn't bother.

SKF add the right amount and the right kind of grease in the factory. You shouldn't need more.
