Yamaha have poached two top Ducati engineers (Massimo Bartolini and Marco Nicotra) in a bid to retain Fabio Quartararo whhen his contract expires at end of 2024:

Yeah, it's pretty much a given that Honda will eventually get back to the front, but Yamaha's slump worries me. It looks as if they've set wheels in motion to get back to the front, but what they really need is at least one satellite team so they can get greater input from a variety of riders. Getting Davide Brivio onboard (assuming he actually joins) at Yamaha is seen as a precursor to getting the VR46 team back to Yamaha. Ducati have currently cornered the market in satellite teams.
