Well, after several emails and so on with an esteemed member of the forum and past forums into times immemorial, I seem to have got myself lined up for a new to me bike.
Much like the car question - what bike should a Vicar ride?? Norton Commando was be lovely, Brough Superior even better, but I am talking about more modern options please!
So answers on a card and (no cheating Weeksy!) the nearest will get a healthy glug of communion wine when I take the services next year!

A couple who are so close to the mark! Triumphs were very much my thing, were.... the teutonic plates are shifting and I'm going German! make of that what you will.

I've ridden one of those Simsons. I might try to find a photo... But no, just a bit too small for me.

Ooh I like that. Love it as a project, but KFB and G.P. are the closest. K1200R... prised from RB's hands next month.

Ah, I had a hunch it was RB's R, but I'd thought it was a 13, not a 12.
Either way, bloody nice bike and iirc it was a proper bargain.
