Five Ducatis for sale
There's a queer howdy doody. Five Ducatis for sale, from someone who collected them but doesn't ride.
I wonder if there's a few quid to be made from buying them and selling individually. I don't have anywhere to keep them though.
Choice of 5 Ducati Bikes for sale 3 x 749 and 2 x 748 all immaculate all have had tyres. Major belts changed and serviced. 1 x yellow 2 x tri colour 1 x fila 2 x red . I've took a long time to put this collection together and get them in the condition they are in. I don't ride and never been taught so no bike licence. I would like to sell all together so I'm not getting involved in messages if you're interested give me a call on 07892 711736 we can have a chat I might take a px on a 4x4 or a Porsche 911/ 996 must be 4s wide body . No daydreaming or messers please. Genuine reason for sale . Viewing by appointment after a good chat. All paperwork present including logbooks invoices manuals and folders most have termi exhausts and new tyres . Stunning Condition and Collection.

How funny if MLSP and KFB are next door neighbours.

Nice place. Went looking at houses there a while ago myself.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 10:06 pm You don't live in Southwell?
That's way too close for comfort.
Re the Ducatis and the non-riding owner. One of the young mechanics at my old, defunct, BMW dealers didn't have a bike licence...but could ride very well. I watched him ride a biggish one out of the workshop, turn it on a sixpence and park it up in a v accomplished manner*. If someone like that wanted to buy, collect and uptart bikes as an investment it could make sense. But the chap up there ^^^ doesn't sound like he can even ride at all.
* I suppose you can race bikes and never have a road licence?

The local Kawasaki dealer has the Z650 JR used for his test. It's been for sale for ages and at the asking price of £9.5k,it'll be a while longer.

Re: Five Ducatis for sale
I remember the post about JR now it's been mentioned.
Does that mean, if you get grounded for eg drunk driving on the road, you can still race?
I can understand why some competition riders don't ride on the road but it's hard to imagine actually learning to ride on track...although it's probably safer.

They'd have been on track since long before being old enough to ride on the road, wouldn't they?

I used to run with some chaps who raced and almost all are very cautious on the road.Count Steer wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 2:18 pm I remember the post about JR now it's been mentioned.

I was knocking around with original Fast Bikes crew in the late 90's when Shakey went and did his bike test on a somewhat battered 996 SPS.

It's true all the way down the ranks, lots of kids move up from Pitbikes or shoolboy MX,they've no interest in riding on the road, their focus is racing.Count Steer wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 3:41 pmYeah, I guess that's true of the top flight boys. After he passed the test, we took the twisty way back to Lydd over the Marsh and I struggled to keep him in sight... he was on a CG125, I was on my GPz500!
