2008 DRZ400e

Post by dern »

I'm thinking of selling my DRZ400e. This isn't a full blown advert as I haven't got picture of the bike at the moment but if you're interested then let me know.

The bike has many scratches and marks from being used on green lanes but is in otherwise excellent condition. If you want a nice looking bike for an SM project then this isn't for you but if you want a bike to go green laning reliably then it most definitely is.

It has a fresh mot and runs extremely well. I've serviced the carb with a new gasket kit and o-rings. It needs an oil change but I'll do that before sale. The bike has bar risers and a Renthal handlebar (7/8 Black (Bend: Jimmy Button (764-01)) fitted but the standard bars come with the bike. All the preventative threadlocking and sealing has been done.

The e model comes with a pumper carb resulting in more power, this has has the airbox mod done and jetting done to suit. It also has a plastic tank rather than the metal tank of the s model. I have replaced the short rear subframe with an s subframe to enable luggage/tools to be strapped to the back.

Under the sheepskin is a good standard seat. I also have one with some foam cut out and gel fitted to lower the seat a bit. You can get lowering dog bones for this but this is standard height.

New brake pads at the front, I'm pretty sure I fitted a new front brake hose too. I have also fitted new clutch and accelerator cables.

The tyres are more or less new... Pirelli MT 21 Rally Cross - 90/90 R 21 FRONT, Dunlop Trailmax D606 - 120/90 R 18 REAR.

You can get a crap one for 2-3k, this isn't a crap one and I'm looking for about £3500.

These are the bars that are currently fitted. I forgot that I changed the switchgear too as the old ones were crap.

£3100 as the replacement is here. Space is no longer an issue but it's hanging around doing nothing now.
