I've certainly not ridden one, but it's going to be fantastic, of that there's no doubt.
But so will the V4 Aprilia and the 1290 KTM. But for me, they're all too much for the road. Just bonkers.
For me in your shoes, 800RC

I was reading about 'em the other day. Basically a Panigale that doesn't break your wrists, so of course it's gonna be great.
£20k is a bit salty though! And 200bhp at the rear wheel would just be frustrating 99% of the time living in Southern England
Still want one, but not
that badly. One of the 800cc ish bikes of the same nature would be plenty IMO.

Headlight looks as though it's dropped off its mounts. And tail and backend look stupid.

The melted headlight look seems to be quite popular these days...dunno if there's some new regs about height above the road or something.
Doesn't look the best for pillions

That's surely the ugliest bike in their line up!

I really like it. OK not 20 grand like it, but I do like it:p The high seat/low light look gives it a raked forward "eager" appearance IMO.

Eye of the beholder I suppose, but I can't find one nice thing about it and that exhaust!

That's par for the course on a new bike these days. I've just developed exhaust blindness.

Lose the exhaust and it'll look lovely.

Bit o' surgery on the numberplate hanger and a photoshopped exhaust later...

20k seems like a lot for a bike, but these days it's all about "the monthlies". You can get a Panigale for £200pcm on the never never, so I reckon that's how most of these will be "sold". Not just people randomly dropping 20k.

One just has to go and see the kinds of cars / bikes in the shop windows in west London to see how true that is. There are a few I've seen where I think "who the fuck is gonna spank 30k on that" but clearly someone does

In the UK I agree, everything is on the drip and everyone wants something that they can't afford, so I reckon most vehicles are on some sort of payment plan.
In other places it's fairly normal for people to walk in and drop big bucks on cars/bikes.
All the lads here (Enduro & road) paid cash for their nice bikes.
Just realised I've spunked €30k on 4 new bikes since we've lived here

You could have had a Ducati and the first year's servicing for that.

My pal Lee has bought 2 new V4s in last 18 months. Bob's buying one soon as well.
But I'd rather have my mix.
GSXR1000.
Husqy 300.
Beta 300.
AJP 125.

It's like kids over here "buying" Mercs and BMW's hand over fist, it's all on PCP then they get hit with charges when the 3 years are up.

Now I'm fully aware of how the Panigale and Streetfighter V4 engine makes way more power than the old V2s cause it's a more logical layout. And I know the structural benefits of the stressed engine and ally frame make a great deal of sense.
But I can't help but think I prefer the 1100 steel trellis frame version....

All my kids and their other halfs have cars on PCP and all newer than any of the stuff on my drive or in the garage. When they all come to visit there ia a collection of 2 year old Audi's and BMW's littering the street. The difference is i own all of mine outright and not paying £XXX a month just to hand it back in 3 years and risk big clause payments or a massive balloon payment

Is that like a huge bellend payment?
