I suspect the bicycle costs as much as the motorcycle is because some cyclists (but not me) are prepared to pay.

While bicycles have a frame size range, the rest of their components are mass manufactured like motorbike components.

Also, the video showed a considerable profit margin difference between the cycling and motorcycling industries. TLDR: motorcycling gets by (struggles?) on far lower margins.
