Gas Regulators

Post by KungFooBob »

The wife, much against my advice, has purchased a gas BBQ on offer from B&Q.

Ive assembled it today, it's got a clip on regulator for Calor Patio Gas Propane.

She didn't buy any gas and Patio Gas seems to be like hens teeth at the moment.

I've got two propane bottles in the motorhome, that take a screw in regulator.

Am I right in thinking that if I was to purchase a screw in type propane regulator (at 37mb, like the clip on) that I could use my existing bottles on the BBQ?

Yes.

I've got a 14kg butane gas cylinder in the camper which uses a 21mm clip on regulator. It cost me £10 off ebay, about 1/3 full. Most appliances can use butane or propane

It's got a £6 regulator from the local hardware shop on it it now, connected to a 6kg bottle of Flogas Propane (I've got a Flogas and a Calor bottle, they're both the same fittings).

Might try cooking my tea on it.
