New bike list. Triumph Speed twin /BMW R nine T

I was recently considering a BMW K1300S which is an awful lot of bike for not a lot of money, Thinking more though, its complete overkill for what I need; One Euro trip per year and days out with the lads not much more than 200 miles per day. I've still got the trusty Tiger which will cover the commute (and and pretty much anything else really). But I want something fun.
Topping the list at the moment are the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 and the BMW R nine T (probably the urban GS version)
So which one?

That Speed twin just looks 'right' to me.... the BMW less so... I'd be all over the Speed....

I like the R9T, not that colour though. What about the Guzzi modello or whatever it's called, bit different.

I have a Scrambler 1200 - so similar to the Speed Twin but with softer cams. I have test ridden a Speed Twin, I wanted to like it - but didn't. There was something about the chassis that didn't work - Destination Triumph dressed it up as "well, we didn't really set the suspension up for you" - but I found the back end was all over the place ...
I love the looks of the R9T - but they are absolutely tiny - a mate has a Pure, absolutely loves it . The Urban Scrambler is meant to be the model for larger people !
what about a Triumph Scrambler XC?

The difference in head angle is huge in those photos, maybe the bimmer is good on the downhills...
I'd have a Speed Twin all day long.

The Ducati 1200 was the bike for that IMO, but you sold it.
Yeah. I never really got with it as much as I'd hoped. I should have got an 1100 Evo (and may yet!)

Thanks!
Was there the day you collected yours from Premier bikes. What was 2019? You must be getting on with it OK then!

Try a Honda CB1000R, it's what I've got and like, so it must be fantastic
Seriously, have a go on one, they're very good and a big bit mental.

Put one in Sport mode, ride along in 2nd gear at about 30mph and crack the throttle open, it'll put a big smile on your face, and you'll find out why it has a bum stop on the seat.
