India MotoGP
I'm sure I saw something this morning (not here!) that some riders and personnel have been unable to get their visas
Also something about the track not meeting regulations ?
Is this going to kybosh the MotoGP or will they sort things out in time?????

I think Guintoli was over there last week, hence the Delhi belly that cut short his stint at the Bol D'or.The commentators mentioned something about modifications being required to the track in India.I just did a quick google & found this https://www.gpone.com/en/2023/08/28/mot ... ore-the-gp

Re: India MotoGP
Seems like they've all got visas OK now
The Indians love beurocracy and paperwork.
I spent 3 months there in my youth. One day we had to go to the bank and for some reason we were taken into the basement. We saw 1 person working and 4 folk with arms folded. After a while we realised that they were each waiting for the calculator. They only had 1 to share

Re: India MotoGP
I had to go to India for work some years back. Therefore I needed a Visa.
I visited the High Commission/Embassy (can't remember which it is) in London to get one. My appointment rolls around and I'm told "sorry sir it takes at least 2 weeks to obtain a Visa".
"Oh...but I need to go an visit my customer". *hand over letter with TATA header*.
"Right you are sir". Then they pull the sticker out of their draw there and then and slap it in my passport.
I'm sure India isn't corrupt at all

When we crossed from India to Nepal in 1986 and visa versa, the border guard looked up from his outside desk, took our passports then asked for baksheesh.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 6:25 pm I had to go to India for work some years back. Therefore I needed a Visa.

In 1999 I got the plane from Delhi to Kathmandu,no problems with corrupt border guards, but a few weeks later the Taliban hijacked the plane & diverted it to Kandahar
