Used bike prices - have they come down a bit?

Post by MyLittleStudPony »

I was looking at ones I might buy (and sell) recently, and they seem a bit less than I expected.

They have felt high for a while. Do you think they're coming down a bit? I know summer is nearly at an end and that causes a little dip but I thought this might be more than that.

MTB are through the floor. Especially non ebike versions. There's bikes that should be £3000+ and have been listed since Nov at £1950. It's crazy.

But there is huge discounting going on on new bikes - esp e bikes. Perhaps people are abandoning shaker bikes ?

Absolutely, bit of both. Over supply after COVID along with lack of demand as more and more buy ebikes now too.

Classic Jap stuff has fallen quite dramatically. I've seen bikes which would have fetched 12k not selling at 8k.

Good time to buy and it may get better.
