Trumpet Chromed Handbags

But not actually as bad as I imagined. They may even be fairly useable.

I quite like the roadster style and they look fine. Not a big fan of added chrome/cleaning but it would be nice to hear those custom exhausts/cans.

I had one of the early 795cc T100s, with chrome trimmings. It was actually a very nice bike, the chrome bits lasted well, and a blast of Mr Sheen and a rub with a soft cloth saw it gleaming like new.

Probably more a bling thing. Some folk stick them on because it's something spend their money on and for them,it looks cool. It's a very common addition to my Z1000,which imo doesn't 'need' one at all.

There's two on my H1.

A friction damper through the headstock and a hydraulic one from the frame to the bottom yoke.

Probably for good reason,in this case. :silent:

To be fair the friction damper is more of a disguised steering lock

The bend in the rod means the action isn't going to be the same when turning left as when turning right. So it needs two in order for the damping to be balanced.

Just a guess.

Compared with quite a few of the similar custom bikes these actually look properly sorted and, for sunny days, fairly practical.

I'd have the black one, thanks.

I don’t think they are steering dampers, they’re frame rails bracing the head tube.
Normally on the standard black frame they’re difficult to see, but on these FCR nickel plated frames they stand out.
