British MotoGP
No idea who's gonna win the MotoGP. Probably Ducati power will win.
But hope young Jake can repeat his win last time out

I hope they packed their waterproofs, arm floats and underwater torpedoes (oh hang on MM does that for free!).

Re: British MotoGP
The Duc is so well sorted now that the weather doesn't really matter. The rain is more likely to shake up the Moto3 and 2 classes.

Re: British MotoGP
The weather could well shake up FP2 (which controls access to Q2) and Qualifying itself. Friday is light showers, Saturday is heavy showers. Sunday does look rain-free at present, although that could all easily change.

Re: British MotoGP
Weather could be a factor of course this weekend and may turn into who gets lucky, who gets the right change at the right times... Or simply, who can ride in the wet best.
I think Zarco is overdue a win.... if it's not him, i'll have Miller on the KTM please. Away this weekend anyway so won't be watching it.

I don't particularly like Asparagus, but his commitment through Vale/Club was awesome.

Re: British MotoGP
I've toyed with binning the thieving twats too,but I do still enjoy the whole televised weekend,so on we go for another year. It's wasted on me really, because I don't watch football or any other sport, but that's the deal.weeksy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 5:29 pmI stopped paying for BT sport as I don't bother and am never hereSkub wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 11:36 amYou can record it thee knows?weeksy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 7:01 am Weather could be a factor of course this weekend and may turn into who gets lucky, who gets the right change at the right times... Re: British MotoGP
Yup, same for me- I've still got my annual Eurosport subscription which gives me pretty much all the bike stuff I ever watch, but haven't bothered doing the TNT thing when BTSport ceased earlier this month, was a lot more ££ , I hardly ever watched it and really am not bothered about it, albeit I think OH probably will do for Champions League once that gets goingweeksy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 5:29 pmI stopped paying for BT sport as I don't bother and am never hereSkub wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 11:36 amYou can record it thee knows?weeksy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 7:01 am Weather could be a factor of course this weekend and may turn into who gets lucky, who gets the right change at the right times... Re: British MotoGP
It's like the situation has flipped totally from that in the 80s/90s and early 2000s; back then the Japanese ruled the roost and the Europeans were either completely absent or completely uncompetitive. Cagiva got a handful of wins in the mid 90s but were never a real championship contender.
Now it's completely reversed and the Japanese are at the back of the field and looking totally lost.

But currently they don't appear to have a clue. And I suspect that it's their pride, and inward-looking culture, that is holding them back.Yorick wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 9:20 pmThe Japanese have pride. Re: British MotoGP
And the current one a few places ahead in 14th and every Japanese bike outside the points with the best in 15th and all 5 in the bottom 7 places ( i assume Lecuona crashed out as he isnt shown as a finisher)
