Rubbish motorcycle slogans and acronyms

Post by KungFooBob »

I just spotted this is the MCN CF Moto 800NK gallery...

Image

Reminded me of all the crap they used to put on bikes back in the 90's.

I was especially jealous of RXS100 owners because my GP100 didn't have Energy Induction...

Image

Or the howabouts the RGV250, REAL SPRINTER!

Image

and who thought Full Floater was a good idea?

What you got?

You've already nicked a few of the good ones, but I'll add Grand Prix Spirit to the RGV250 hall of shame.

But - to be fair the Full Floater thing was about the shock not being directly connected to the frame top or bottom. And not about turds in swimming pools.

BMW had Ultimate Riding Machine in 1981. Seems they were wrong.

FZ750 had "Pure Sports" on the stickers, later ones showed a love of Phil Collins by having Genesis stickers.

It was a balance pipe between the vacuum ports on the carbs.
My XT350 had YDIS, which shouldn't be misspelled

Other great Yamaha acronyms

Exhaust Ultimate Power valve
Yamaha Power Valve System
Fresh Air Intake

My YZ125 had a boost bottle on the intake, that had a Yamaha acronym, but I can't remember what it was.

Not quite what the thread's about but calling little bikes (with little luggage capacity) 'GT' always made me smirk.

A 250cc 2T Grand Tourer? Err. OK then.

I have a sticker from Performing Berks magazine:
Performance Enhanced Noise Induction System.

I think it's on one of my toolboxes.

Any bike with numbers in it's name and the numbers aren't the CC. For example the F 750 GS.

How accurately are you judging that?

The Honda 400Four was 408cc.
