Full face recommendations: every day riding
My crash came about on a fairly innocuous track. Not dissimilar to South Down marble runs. Part of the crash was absorbed by my chin on a full face. The impact was enough to cause a small crack on the chin bar.
Had I been riding with a normal helmet , I would have a least a broken jaw and facial injuries.
Which got me thinking - should I wear a full face anyway? I realise it is slightly passé
Are there any light, well ventilated and cost effective full face helmets out there that anyone can recommend?

The school I work our uses Leatt full face. They are really light and seem very well ventilated. TBH, I haven’t tried one and they are only supplied for down hill cycling not for scooters
One thing that’s always bugged me on cycling is the lack of a full face helmet that’s light enough to wear for any sort of cycling.
I 100% get that many road riders would find them a hindrance, but for someone that goes off road even ‘gently’ I can’t see why a FF version wouldn’t be a good thing (but then I am the fuck up fairy and whilst I’m not overly bothered about scars, I do want to prevent any further breakages!!!)
I’ll try and get a photo uploaded of the ones we use
Edit - photos -
I do know there are far more experienced people on here, but as it’s bastard hot up here in summer, I figured that what the bosses have chosen as a lightweight protection is probably pretty well ventilated too

Well, it’s really not quite pink enough, but very ‘visible’!!
It was the nearest one!! The others are on a high shelf
We also have black or white ones
And just realised the blue ones are a different make - not sure I like the idea of a detachable chin-guard on those tho!!
