Dainese - new zip or new jacket?

My Dainese textile jacket is nearly 2 years old. Its still in pretty good nick with the exception of the inner zip, which s frayed at the bottom and pretty much unusable. Its fine for the summer, but in the winter I will want double zips.
Do you think its worth having the it replaced, or will I be better off spending the money on a new one? And i know its a daft question, but its Sunday, and I cant ask my tame tailor how much it would cost to change the zip, so I'm asking you.

Just get the zip changed, unless you are feeling particularly flush and want to treat yourself

Yup...that
Check and see if you registered it when you bought it or have a receipt around. A push stud on one of the pockets came off my first Dainese jacket after a year so i sent it back to the factory to be fixed FOC
The warranty didnt cover me lobbing myself down the road while wearing it though

Nearly two years old?
Ye Gods.
I just had my Aerostich rezipped last year and it was twenty three years old! I wore that virtually every day for about 10 hours a day from 1997 to 2007 whilst I was a basic trainer, and it remained my full time training kit till about 2010, when I bought a (supposedly) waterproof Alpinestars one piece. The Stich still comes out when I'm travelling because it's two piece - I can wear the jacket onto a plane and the trousers fold away small. So it did 3000 more miles around NZ in both 2018 and 2019, as well as a trip to California in Feb.

Do i win as this is my original Rukka Jacket from my days as a bike courier in the late 80's in Glasgow. Still waterproof and warm after all these years with bugger all crash protection and wish i still had the trousers to match but someone nicked them years ago. The back still has faint signs of the "Falcon Despatch" logo
I used to wear it over a cheap set of leathers when the weather was cold and in summer just leathers and a company logo over bib

I sent my jacket back for a new zip a couple of years ago, I just dropped it off at the Dainese shop in Brizzle and they sorted out the rest

I had a few over the years - standard courier clobber

And properly put together. I only needed another when I fell off

If they hadn't discontinued them, they'd sell like hot cakes - the only truly waterproof garments I've ever owned.

Crikey.
OK. I'll get it re-zipped then. I got it from P&H so I'm sure they will have a record and be able to email me a receipt. So I wil try to get Dainese to replace the zip then.

I recommend you start with P&H because you’re unlikely to get anywhere with Dainese. (Your consumer rights are with the retailer.)
I’m sure - if the jacket’s under warranty - that P&H will get Dainese to fix it. But it could take time: while P&H has an excellent reputation, Dainese is known for doing warranty repairs in slow motion.
