Post by ZRX61 »

Dropped them off yesterday.

Got a msg this evening that the ZX11 seat is done...

Well chuffed. The ZX11 seat was going to be all black, but then he looked at pics of the bike & thought the silver carbon fiber look stuff would go well with the silver frame etc.

Gonna wait until the ZRX11 seat is done & then I'll go fetch both of them (prob next week sometime). ZRX11 seat is getting lime green piping.

That is awesome. As a sewist I'm in awe of the skills to do this. I would love to learn how to do that!!

Enjoying the fact a standard twill fabric is now "carbon fibre pattern" Chicken<->Egg fella.

Looks good nonetheless :D

Coincidentally I’m going up to to Tom’s next week, it’s quite near. I’ve had a couple of emails from him and he seems a nice guy.

The wife’s complaining about numb bum on the R so I’m going to get a memory foam/gel replacement. I might get mine done too and a cm or so taken off the height. Price quoted for both should be £250 max.

He says turnover is 1-5 days but that only for simple stuff like mine.

I think for custom stuff he’s not even taking orders just now although he did say to look at his pages for ideas if I wanted something. So it’s possible if I was there and asked he might fit me in. A custom seat might be nice but the budget won’t stretch to it.

I'm fixed up there, but unfortunately for me,the import duties kill off most items over a certain level. Not many outfits will do the 'gift' thing now.
